A group of six 19thC and 20thC portrait silhouette miniatures, one inscribed Hawley John Baines 'when at Shrewsbury School about the year 1836' with mortar board, another of a young boy and another of a gentleman, another of a young woman and a further silhouette of WFW Baines, drawn and framed by himself circa 1914, and another silhouette of another older lady, all oval and all framed in the traditional manner
James Warren Childe [1778-1862]-Portrait of a young lady of the Hay family, half-length seated,:- with brown hair in ringletswearing a blue silk dress with lace collar; a companion portrait of a ladyboth signed J W Childe bottom right, watercolour and pencil drawings, each 17 x 17cm. [2]* Provenance. Said to be with Major General Lord Edward Douglas John Hay [1888-1944] of Hill Hall, Epping, Essex, Deputy Lieutenant of Essex.
