James Livingston of New Orleans, circa 1835:, head and shoulders with short brown hair and wearing a black coat, white shirt and bow tie oil on board within a painted oval 17.5 x 12cm, together with a head and shoulders oil portrait of a young man, possibly Samuel Lover [1797-1868]. Australia, c.1846], with top hat:- dated 24 April 1841, watercolour, 27 x 16cm, together with a full-length silhouette of Mr Pearce Dudley with top hat and cane, dated 1831 and a full-length silhouette of Clara Edgell. John Lister was educated at the Leeds School of Medicine, University College London and in Paris. He was Consulting Surgeon to the Doncaster Infirmary, Surgeon to the York Institute for the Deaf and Dumb, and Borough Coroner. In 1852 he was appointed Surgeon to the 3rd West York Militia.
Edwin Dalton Smith [1800-1866]- A portrait of Mrs James MacCulloch with her granddaughters Florence Brock, later Mrs I Dallas Oldfield Harington, and Alice Grace Brock, later Mrs Alfred Francis Street:- signed and dated 1843, watercolour, 33 x 33cm, together with a 19th Century pastel portrait by Mary Hay of Frances Mary Saunders and her daughter Jessy and a study of a young girl with a feathered hat after Adam Buck.
