Tom Chantrell pre-production artwork and notes used by him for the production of British Quad film posters for Hammer, Anglo Amalgamated, Warner-Pathe, 20th Century Fox and others. Contained are many items produced using his Halco Reprographic Machine which is offered for sale in the following lot. Includes Tracing paper draft by Chantrell for the iconic "One Million Years B.C." lettering later to be used on the finished design of the poster. Prehistoric caveman carrying girl with three other girls and pterodactyls rough for the Hammer film 'One Million Years B.C.' Agfa-Gevaert price list with Tom's notes on reverse detailing "Star Wars 4264" "Airplane 4442" "Krakatoa 5230" which may be job numbers. Credits layouts for "Cleopatra", type set copy for film company layout, photocopy of Tom at work at Allardyce Palmer with colleagues dated 1960. Handwritten sheet from Tom detailing his suppliers, telephone numbers, comments and prices. Original quote for Mr Chantrell dated 20.8.82 for Halco Instant Colour conversion to CopiKam. 1970 colour design by Tom using the machine for an advertisement on Polaroid paper.
