Early Engraving of Isambard Kingdom Brunel by D.J. Pound (floruit 1842-1877) from a photograph by John Jabez Edwin Mayall (1810-1901). This stunning item, tastefully mounted in a glazed frame, is museum quality. Indeed, many works by Pound, after photographs by Mayall, appear in the National Portrait Gallery including an example of this very one. It is undated but confirmed by the NPG to be 1859. The image measures approximately 11¼" x 8" and overall in frame, 19" x 15".
