Attributed to Frederic Whitine (1874-1962), Oil on canvas, Portrait of a Commander of the British Empire, in uniform - possibly a General, Signed top right 'Frederic Whitine 'posthumous portrait', Attributed verso and 'J.T. Homer, Chairman of Gov 1920-1935', 90cm x 74cm, Framed CONDITION REPORT: Canvas grubby with some craquelure and two horizontal cracking paint lines to the centre. Been in a damp atmosphere for a period of time. Despite faults, appearance ok. Sags a little to the top left corner.
Sir Arthur Stockdale Cope (1857-1940), Oil on canvas, Portrait of John Bailey Lees JP, Signed and dated 1906 lower right and with brass name plate, 110cm x 84cm, Framed (At fault) CONDITION REPORT: The painting has been stored in a very damp room for several years. It has dried out somewhat, however, the frame is poor and will need replacing as it has absorbed so much moisture. The image appears ok but is grubby, sags a little on the stretchers and at the bottom and some blooming throughout the canvas. The paint is cracked at the bottom of the canvas and some objects have fallen behind the stretcher at the bottom causing the canvas to bump with some rubbing. Some cracking to the paint. Attention will be needed.

A 'Crimean Hero' banqueting cloth, circa 1857, a linen damask cloth woven to commemorate victory in the Crimean War, edged with a band of portrait medallions depicting Royal Heads of State, Military Commanders, Politicians and others connected with the War, also bearing Royal coats of arms and Turkish Tugrahs, various insignia, emblems, reserves of martial honours and battle honours, manufactured and bearing woven signature of D Dewar & Sons, Dunfermline & London, signed Moffatt, 2/D, 1882 (in pen), 225cm by 223cm Hand written to one corner 'Moffatt 1882'. Actual sizes 225cm by 223cm. Several brown marks overall. Possibly unused as damask pattern is in very 'bright/fresh' condition.
