A FRENCH SMALL-SWORD WITH CHISELLED IRON HILT, CIRCA 1760 with hollow-triangular blade etched with scrolls enclosing a portrait bust profile on each face at the forte, iron hilt pierced and chiselled with broad scrollwork including double shell-guard, quillon-block and pommel, and the grip with a later binding of plaited wire and ribband between 'Turk's Heads', in contemporary fishskin-covered wooden scabbard (small losses) with decorated iron locket and chape, complete with a chain and belt hook, the latter decorated with an urn enclosed by flowers 84.5 cm; 33 1/4 in blade
