A Limited Edition Dennis China Works vase, designed by Sally Tuffin, dated 2000, decorated in the Autumn Leaves pattern, Limited Edition 40/40, issued for the National Portrait Gallery, impressed and inscribed marks to the underside, 19.5 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: There are very fine concentric cracks within the glaze issuing from the rim. There are no signs of any chips or restorations. The actual body appears to be free from any major cracks other than those aforementioned in the glaze. The vase rings out nicely when lightly tapped.

Mary Wrinch, portrait miniature on ivory, of Sarah Kate South, initialled MEW and inscribed in ink verso Sarah Kate South born at Ramsey in the County of Essex, November 15th 1857, elder daughter of John South and Sarah, his wife, nee Cooper. This miniature was painted by her cousin Mary Reid, nee Wrinch, at Walworth in the County of Surrey around the year 1900. Mary Wrinch of Toronto, Canada, spent a year in London studying art. S.D.M. 1831 portrait miniature on ivory, young girl with books Homer, Milton and Shakespeare, 8 cm x 6 cm, framed, signed with initials (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The painting appears to be in generally good order. There is a hint of slight paint loss above the cuff on the right-hand facing sleeve running vertically from the top of the sleeve up towards the top of the painting. John Miers (18th/19th century), silhouette portrait of a gentleman facing left, black ink with bronzing on plaster, mounted oval in original ebonised frame with gilt suspension hook and with printed marks verso for Miers, Profile Painter & Jeweller..., a further two profile portraits of gentleman each with bronzing, one inscribed verso "Mr Robert Muniford, Mrs George Sextons Uncle", a profile portrait of an elderly lady and a full length profile portrait of a young girl with bronzed highlights, the gentleman approximately 8/8.5 cm x 6.5/7 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Miers portrait - The item is sealed at the back. There are no signs of an chips, cracks or restorations. The plaster does look a little dirty beneath the glass.
A 19th century portrait miniature on ivory, oval, female figure wearing a headdress, 7.5 cm x 6 cm in gilt frame. CONDITION REPORT: The painting is in generally good condition. There is some fading to the paintwork particularly to the headdress and the pale blue ground surrounding the image. Two 18th century portraits of gentlemen, each wearing a white wig, oil on canvas, painted oval, and a pencil sketch of a Georgian lady, heightened with body colour, mounted oval, largest 25.5. cm x 20.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are no inscriptions. The largest of the three portraits is in very good condition from the painting point of view. We can see no evidence of any lifting paint or losses. Unfortunately the frame is damaged as you will see from our images. The smaller male portrait is also in generally good order with no paint losses or significant crazing. The gilt frame has been overpainted but does not have any significant damage and is serviceable. The pencil portrait is somewhat faded but there are no issues in terms of damage. The frame is in good order and serviceable.
Sir Martin Archer Shee PRA (Irish 1769-1850), oil on canvas, "Portrait of Philip Harding Esq", circa 1790, 76.5 cm x 63.5 cm, framed. NOTE - Sold with copy receipt from Historical Portraits, Dover Street, London, September 1999 (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This item has been relined, cleaned and restored. The general appearance is good. The name of the sitter is almost indecipherable in the top right hand corner. There are mould spots throughout. Having said all this it is a very good and well executed picture. The frame is generally in good order throughout with only a tiny loss at 3 o'clock on the inside of the border.
An Indian watercolour and gouache, 19th century, depicting a Mughal Prince upon a horse, his head profile in a halo, 24.5 cm x 17 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This is in a modern frame with a window mount. The picture is attached to the mount by small pieces of masking tape and is therefore removable. The rear of the picture has what look likes an old catalogue description stating "A portrait of Emperor Farrukh Siyar etc etc Jodhpur in Rajasthan circa 1800". The paint surface is faded and there are some losses to the paint particularly in the green ground. The figure itself and the horse are however in generally very good order. The actual portrait section of the painting does appear to be laid on to another piece of paper. Please note that the modern frame is damaged and the glass is broken.
A Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Platinum medallion, 1977, Obv: Portrait of the Queen, seated facing on a throne holding a sceptre and mace, Rev: Tudor rose in a stylised crown and inscription Vivat Regina 1952-1977 numbered 24, 57 mm. 180 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The obverse appears to be in good order throughout with no obvious flaws. The reverse appears to be in good order throughout with no obvious faults. There is light tarnishing to both sides. The presentation box is in good order throughout. The hinge and locking mechanism work as they should.
Five early 19th century Creamware plates, each decorated with a ship portrait, diameter 25 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One pate has an almost hairline crack which forks near the rim approximately 6 cm across, this plate also has three large surface chips. The second plate has two 6 cm hairline cracks and a large 4.5 cm chip to the rim with further smaller chips to the rim. A further plate has two small rim chips but no hairline cracks. The fourth plate has five small chips to the rim but no hairline cracks. The final plate has a 4 cm hairline crack from the rim towards the centre and also a small glaze chip to the rim.
TWO LATE 19TH CENTURY PENDANTS, to include a gold circular diamond portrait pendant, circular design housing a portrait of a lady dressed in classical attire, enclosed within a scalloped diamond border and diamond set bail, vacant glass section to the reserve, measuring approximately 35mm, estimated total old eight cut diamond weight 0.45ct, a gold small round diamond set locket, depicting a maiden in profile with a diamond detail to her necklace and brooch, measuring approximately 18.3mm in diameter, stamped '15c' inside the locket, approximate gross weight 18 grams (condition: very small dent to the reverse of the locket)
