A small Bilston enamelled box, "Esteem the Gift for those who give and Joy attend you while you live", 45mm, damaged, three a Victorian mother-of-pearl card cases, other items of carved mother-of-pearl, a miniature portrait, a miniature silver goblet, a silver pincushion in the shape of a tortoise etc.

Victorian School, oil on canvas, Interior portrait of a lady seated at a table, a harp beyond, 75 x 62cmCONDITION: Overall rather dirty with stretcher marks showing across the top, two small punctured holes to the left in the sky, the reverse showing two patches of repair, one for a large tear running from her right arm up to the horizon and then down into the woods, reasonably well retouched, the other a smaller punched hole above the harp, less well retouched, framed looks original but dirty and has lost some of its moulding.
Thomas Arrowsmith (1771-1839), oil on canvas, Portrait of John Pickup, dated 1825, 75 x 62cmCONDITION: oil on canvas relined 20 years ago or so, canvas remains tight, paint a little dirty but otherwise looks to be in good condition, original frame with some cracking and has been overpainted with gold paint.
A late Victorian yellow metal and diamond set oval portrait miniature, in fitted gilt tooled leather case, 42mm, engrave en verso 'Ernest Charles Eveleigh, born 8th November, 1881'.CONDITION: Three of the diamonds each have a tiny nick to the table edge and one other has a small crack to the table. A few very minor scratches to the reverse. A few minor abrasions around the circumference of the glass. Case in generally good order.
Edward Leonard (1901 - 1968) Portrait of an elegant young woman. Oil on board. Signed lower right. Leonard was a very well schooled artist having studied at the National Academy of Design in New York City. He also studied art at the Art Students League, the Beaux Arts Institute, and the Grand Central School of Art, all in New York. Leonard traveled to France to study art and has won numerous medals and prize awards for his work. He worked in New York City for many years as a portrait artist. While living there he became a Trustee of the Artists Fellowship. A group formed in 1925 as a private, charitable foundation that assists professional fine artists (painters, graphic artists, sculptors) and their families in times of emergency, disability, or bereavement. He was also a member of the Salmagundi Club.After moving to Venice, Florida, he became the Chairman of the Florida Federation of Art, which was organized in April 1927, in Orlando, Florida, to assist local clubs throughout the state in promoting art and art appreciation. He worked as an instructor of portrait and figure painting at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Sight Size: 19.5 x 15.5 in. Overall Framed Size: 23 19.5 in.

Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This painting was originally published on the Fleetwood Endangered Kingdom "A Peaceful World" Porcelain Collector's Plate. Award-winning artist R.G. Finney is acclaimed for his incredibly detailed, sensitive and accurate portrayals of wildlife. This endearing portrait of a mother tiger and her cubs could be considered his masterwork. Overall Size: 18 x 18 in. Unframed. (B14013)
Nicholas Cudworth (B. 1947) "Sports #1". Signed lower right. Mixed media painting on board. Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This painting was originally published on the Fleetwood First Day Combo Cover for the Great Britain 1986 Commonwealth Games stamps issued July 15, 1986. Nick was born in Derby and achieved a BA Hons. at Chelsea School of Art. He has been a practicing artist for over 35 years. Nick also enjoyed an early career in music as a piano player with the band Siren and recorded several blues/rock and roll albums in the 1960's on John Peel's label. His successful reputation as an artist has been gained by having exhibited in group and one man shows in galleries throughout the world including London, Milan, Winnipeg and New York. He joined The Portal Gallery in Piccadilly in 1997 where he has since had several successful one man shows. Nick was commissioned by The Royal Mail to design a set of stamps for the Commonwealth Games which were on show at The Post Office Museum in Bath. Arthur Haddon (California / England, United Kingdom 1864 - 1941) Oil on board painting depicting figures rowing in a gondola in a Venice canal. Inscribed verso. Old exhibition labels attached verso. Housed in possibly a Newcomb-Macklin frame. Arthur Haddon is known for portrait paintings and scenes of the Orient, Spain, Venice. He was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. Sight Size: 25 x 17.5 in. Overall Framed Size: 32 x 24 in.
C. 193-211. Roman. This beautiful head pot features a woman’s face comprising high arching brows, upturned, almond shaped eyes, a thin, shapely nose, pursed full lips, and the characteristic finger-waves of the Empress Julia Domna. Head pot like this became popular in the early part of the 3rd century, especially as commemorative objects. This particular example is probably meant to be a portrait of Julia Domna created as a souvenir of one the Imperial couple’s official visits during the reign of Septimius Severus. Good Condition. Size: L:170mm / W:125mm ; 720g; Provenance: From the private collection of a Somerset gentleman; previously in an old British collection, formed in the 1990s on the UK /European art markets.
