TWO LATE 19TH CENTURY MINIATURE PORTRAITS one of Michael William Dickinson of Roos in Yorkshire, the other of William George Dickinson of Roos, each 4.5cm x 3cm, seemingly unsigned together with a silhouette portrait of Miss Sykes, 7cm x 9cm and three further portrait miniatures to include one depicting Sir Joshua Reynolds (6) Condition: the small oval portraits of gentlemen in reasonable condition and set within ebonised frames with gilt brass mounts, the silhouette portrait with slight loss to the surface and the paper backing in need of possible replacement, certainly darkened in colour, the oval portrait of a girl with feathers in her hair on an undulating surface, in reasonable condition; the portrait of Sir Joshua Reynolds sketchy and with some losses particularly to the sleeve, the final portrait with undulating surface, indistinctly signed with monogram AC, possibly an overpainted photograph

An Enamel Portrait Brooch, a bow motif enamelled in blue and white suspends a circular frame enamelled in white with etched gold detail, with a portrait miniature centrally depicting a young boy and a young girl, measures 6.5cm by 4.4cm see illustration . The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and hook catch. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion it would test as gold. gross weight 17.5 grams. CR made 13.03.20.
