A good Japanese lacquer bound album of photographsCirca 1910The front cover with lacquer and bone inlay scene of lady riding in a rickshaw, the interior with 97 hand tinted photographs of 10x8" size including scenes from Yokohama, Tokyo, Fujiyama, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagasaki and other locations, as well as portrait subjects including girls and ladies costume and activities, priests, trades and crafts etc., mounted on gilt-edged card leaves. Spine detached. Minor wear to covers including chipped corners. Pages generally good with minor browning to margins.

Letter from Michael Bing of Sotheby's Belgravia confirming this as 'very likely', dated 30th September 1983. 3. Letter from John Julius (Viscount) Norwich stating that he had consulted his cousin Sir Rupert Hart Davies who believed the sitter to be Stephanie Agnes Cooper who he is related to on his father's side, 11th April 1983. 4. Letter from Violet Carey-Foster, daughter of Stephanie Cooper and confirming the same, dated July 10th.
