SIR ROBIN PHILIPSON R.A., P.R.S.A., R.SW., R.G.I., D.LITT., L.LD (BRITISH, 1916-1992) PORTRAIT OF MAJOR PRIOIR AS A YOUNG MAN Signed and dated, oil on canvas 38cm x 29cm Note: This portrait dates from the time when Robin Philipson was stationed on the Northwest Frontier in India during the Second World War and was painted in a tent . The sitter was to become a life-long friend of the artist. Although in different regiments, both men were redirected to India when Singapore fell in February 1942.

(official correction to the naming on the Victory medal), the three corresponding dress miniature medals mounted as worn, three silver sporting fob medallions, certificate of demobilization detailed Goodwin, Frederick, an Honour & Awards certificate detailed 'Award of The Military Medal to Bomb. Frank Goodwin' dated 21/3/18 and a portrait photograph of a soldier.
A Georgian, blood stone & milk glass, dbl portrait medallion. One side with George III the other side his wife Queen Charlotte. Each profile mounted on a heart shaped bloodstone panel.
