A pair of 19th Century Copenhagen exhibition quality vases, the main body decorated with portrait study of Prince Frederick and Princess Louisa with crowned floral decorated letters "F" and "L" verso within floral swags, the necks decorated with two pairs of swans holding a floral swag surmounted by two putti, 61 cm high including cover and finial CONDITION REPORTS First vase with Albert - some small losses to the petals and floral encrusted decoration, some wear to the giltwork, some small faint scratches to the body throughout, damage to one of the lower corners, probably repaired. General signs of limited wear and tear throughout. Second vase - some small losses to encrusted decoration, wear to giltwork, damage to some of the corners to the base including one large one which has been reglued, some small light faint scratches to the body throughout. Both vases with small signs of general wear and tear.

EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Young man in black coat with red sash", a miniature portrait study half-length oil on ivory, oval, unsigned, 6.5 cm x 5 cm(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Taken out of frame- not a complete oval. One side looks flat, some gentle light scratches to the paint, paint flaking off just to one side below the gentleman's left hand shoulder, below his red sash - appears to be unsigned. The gentleman's jacket appears green under UV light and more design is visible, especially to his arms - see images.

Some light scratches throughout Very faintly marked " Colon 1841" which we will attempt to photograph. Nothing obvious when viewed under UV light. Not framed, just housed in a relatively modern brown envelope with inscription

18TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Anne Unwin", a miniature portrait study, bust length, oil on ivory mounted with a hair lattice, oval, bearing gold coloured monogram initials and a hair study of "Urn beneath a tree" with ivory tag inscribed "A Unwin OB 2 Jan 1798 at 60 yrs", three mounted in one frame bearing label verso inscribed "Anne Unwin (née Buxton) half sister or Elizabeth Forbes (née Buxton of Coggeshall) who was mother of Mrs Laurie of Reading", 21.5 cm x 16.6 cm over all CONDITION REPORTS Main portrait image has flaking to the paint at the top of her shoulder and a cracking to the paint from her shoulder upwards vertically to the top edge re-painted. The hair plait is a little loose in places but all extant. The urn and treeappear in good condition though foil anchor point to right is missing. The velvet mount very worn all over. The easel stand silk very worn. the rear leather with three screws holding it together and two further screw holes and some wear to the right below the existing screw - see images for further information

An 18th Century Sèvres cabinet cup decorated with portrait medallion of Madamoiselle De Lavallière, date marked for 1790, decorator's mark "M" (possibly for Moiron), saucer with foliate and floral monogram "JL", cup 6.6 cm diameter x 6.8 cm high, saucer 14 cm diameter(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS The cups panel has some chipping and pin head hole firing faults. There is some loss to the "jewel work" and wear to the gilding. There has been restoration and repair to the base of the cup and the base of the cup handle. The saucer has loss to the gilding and some "jewel work" as well as pin head firing faults, discolouration to the outside of the saucer. Both have general wear and tear to include surface scratching, loss to the gilding etc. See images for further details. Main image with some pitting to the glaze throughout, difficult to see in image but visible to the naked eye. Some areas of jewelling missing or damaged, some wear to the gilding. Base of cup glaze incomplete, particularly around signature and crossed L's mark. Saucer again with pitting to the glaze around the monogram and with some areas of jewelling missing, particularly the ruby beading around the monogram, mainly damaged or missing. Base very pitted and dirty looking though otherwise undamaged. See images for further info.

An 18th Century Sèvres porcelain cabinet cup and saucer decorated with portrait of Madame Du Barry within an enamel and jewelled "Bleu Royale" ground, the saucer decorated with foliate and floral monogram "D B", dated marked for 1768 and bearing decorator's mark for Vieillard, cup 7 cm diameter x 7 cm high, the saucer 13.8 cm diameter(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS The cup has a couple of pinhead firing faults, most visible to the portrait centre. Losses to the jewel work and enamel decoration and gilding all over. There is also a fault to the rim which has been glazed and gilded over in the form of a small dent/chip possibly an air bubble in firing - see image. The saucer has a large firing fault to the edge and has a drill hole to the base as well as various other firing faults including one to the white centre. Various bits of jewel work are missing, wear to the gilding especially the rim. Both have general wear and tear, surface scratches etc - see images for further details

A slight sheen to the very base, perhaps a glue or similar. Surface has dirt and fingerprint marks all over, frame very dirty and glass also in need of a clean. No backing to frame

"Lady with ringlets" appears in good condition with no damage, rear paper mounts ripped probably to allow for access to the works

Canvas re-lined under ultra violet light. There appears to be a large amount of re-painting, particularly to the ruff and head - see images for further example

SCHOOL OF MICHIEL JANSZOON VAN MIEREVELT (1567-1641) "Gentleman in black jacket and white lace ruff", portrait study, head and shoulders, oil on canvas, unsigned, stencilled no. verso "401JA", 56 cm x 47 cm(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Cracking in the paint throughout , mainly viewable on the figures face all over and to the front of the figures tunic that is viewable. Some light scratches, impressed marks etc throughout including one above the figures' shoulder in the form of a very small circle which is possibly a loss of paint. When viewed under oblique angle it appears that the lapels of the gentleman's tunic have been re-painted and down the side of the figures' face - see images. There is a crease running horizontally along the top edge about two inches down across the painting there is an impressed mark/scratch running across the gentleman's hairline - see images Under UV light there are dark marks throughout the figures' face and to his hair, long dark mark running down the side of his face and into his ruff. Dark marks all over his jacket and to the lapels. Will photograph these under UV light - general signs of wear and tear throughout

ENGLISH SCHOOL IN THE 17TH CENTURY MANNER "Gentleman in black shirt and white lace collar", a miniature portrait study, head and shoulders, watercolour, unsigned, 6.5 cm x 5.1 cm, housed in a plain ebonised frame(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Over all condition good though with some scuff marks to the edge where the picture has come in contact with the frame. Some dirt to the sitter's face around his left eye, above and below, and to his chin right-hand side. Backing of old playing card appears in poor condition with staining and water marking. Frame is dirty condition with scratches and dents throughout. Backing stained and worn - see images

CALLOT - Israel engravings all browned with age, with various water marks, foxing etc throughout. DURER" Coat of Arms" probably a 19th Century French reproduction with discolouration particularly to the edging. DURER "Der Reuter" - glued down on card, inscribed verso "French Reproduction of The Knight and Death" condition fair. HOLLAR "Fishing" - cut very close to edge of margins and with discolouration and foxing but image clear. Figure with donkey and dog watering , very browned and discoloured though image clear. Figures and horses in river with washer women in foreground - very stained with rips to the right-hand side, staining caused by glue to the top edge.
