A Charles II oak joined chest, originally fitted with three long drawers, each having geometric applied mouldings but now that at the center has been adapted and the drawer front is now two doors, the interior is lined with printed paper including a portrait of Charles II and his queen, later bracket feet, width 98cm.
An oval portrait miniature by Annie Dixon, profile of a young girl on ivory, signed and dated 1854, within a square ebonised frame with brass oval aperture 9.5 x 7.5cm (damage). Condition Report: Paint faded and flaking all over with much gouache repainting. A large section on the left hand side has been broken off and missing.
KPM oval porcelain panel painted with a portrait of a lady in Eastern costume, impressed mark to reverse, 27cm high Condition report: The plaque has been glued to the mount board with only the impressed mark visible. The front displays no signs of damage or restoration, there are minor scratches and one enamel flake. The plaque is separate from the frame and will require refitting.
James Lawrence Isherwood F.R.S.A., F.I.A.L. (1917-1989), Portrait of the artist`s mother, signed, oil on board, 53 x 71.5cm.; 21 x 28.25in. * Isherwood painted a number of portraits including many celebrities such as the singer Gracie Fields, the round-the-world yachtsman Sir Francis Chichester and Lord and Lady Weymouth. Jacob Kramer (Russian, 1892-1962), Portrait of a young lady, signed, pastel, 37.5 x 31.5cm.; 14.75 x 12.5in. * Born in Klincy, Ukraine, Kramer settled in England, in Leeds in 1900. Attended Manchester School of Art and studied at the School of Art in Leeds in 1908-11 and Slade School of Fine Arts in 1913-14. In 1915 Kramer held his first solo exhibition at Matthews & Brooke, Bradford. In 1960 retrospective exhibition at Leeds City Art Gallery. Later shows included Parkin Gallery in 1973, Belgrave Gallery in 1990 and centenary show at Leeds University Art Gallery. Victoria & Albert Museum, British Museum and Tate Gallery hold his work. A Victorian gilt metal shaped oval brooch glazed with a feathered hair locket compartment within an interlooped surround with engraved motifs at intervals, the rotating central locket glazed with the portrait print of a lady in 17th Century costume to the back, a Victorian brooch modelled as a fluted column with spiral decoration, the back bearing a registration stamp, and a silver cased and enamelled keyless wind open-faced lady`s fob watch with a cylinder movement, the case detailed `0, 935`, with a dress Albertine fitted with a swivel.
A set of four early 20th Century prints on silk, each depicting a head and shoulder portrait of `The Maharajah of Kapurthala`, `The Maharajah of Baroda`, `The Maharajah of Jhalawar` and `The Maharajah of Patiala`, all within foliate borders, approx 30cm x 27cm, framed and glazed, together with a similar set of four prints depicting ladies, each beside a shield representing England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
