Robinson of Hinxton and is believed by them to be by Romney 30th January 1953". The portrait is inscribed itself "A copy by C. Burlison 1872 from a portrait by Parkinson 1761 (see illustration).

1923 Gordon Richards Champion Flat Race Jockey signed photograph and book -comprising a original larger full length portrait jockey photograph in the original period mount signed to the border "Yours sincerely Gordon Richards 1923" -mf&g overall 19.5 x 10.5" together with signed copy of his autobiography titled "My Story" signed to the title page with dedication and dated 1955 (2). Gordon Richards rode 4,870 winners and is still a British Record. He also holds the record for the most consecutive winners ridden; 12 (half at a night meeting) and he was British flat racing Champion Jockey a record 26 times and the only jockey to be knighted.
