GRACE KELLY MEMORABILIA Two framed photographs of Grace Kelly (1929-1982), the first SP "Grace de Monaco" color, 4"x5", a autographed full length portrait of Grace with family, attractively double matted beside a brass name panel, the second a 10" x 6.5" portrait of the young actress, contained under glass, in ornate frame. Note: Grace was an Academy award winning American actress, later Princess of Monaco upon her marriage to Prince Rainier in 1956.
A FRENCH GILT METAL MANTLE CLOCK, late 19th century, by Japy Freres and Co. Paris, the lever movement with outside count wheel, striking on a steel bell, the enamel dial with Roman numerals, surmounted with trophies and flanked to one side with a seated gentleman, the front with an oval porcelain portrait of a classical woman, 12.5in (22cm)h x 17in (43cm). EARLY CONTINENTAL SCHOOL, Medieval Portrait of a Saint, with Raised Hand in a Blessing Facing Right, and its companion, Saint with Hand on Chest Facing Left, both with halos, each tempera on panel, 15.25in (40cm)h x 13in (33cm), framed as one in a very ornate dentil moulded double panel art gilt wood frame. A RARE IRISH PATCHWORK QUILT BY MRS. R. RUTTLE, beautifully worked with colourful sections of plain and patterned materials, some with hand worked flowers and other devices on geometric patterns and with 4 silk tassels, 43in (109cm)h x 34in (86cm); together with a Portrait Print of Mrs R. Ruttle. Mrs R. Ruttle (nee Cook) was born at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, her father Robert Cook being one of the captains of the establishment from 1830 to 1850. She married Dr. Robert Ruttle, son of a Dublin barrister and they moved to England. The quilt was made there and given to her daughter Mary Isabella. She became a missionary but retired to Ireland and died in 1968 in her 90th year at Mageough Home, Rathmines. Shortly before her death she entrusted the quilt to F. E Dixon who presented it to the present owner.
