A French late 19th century photograph album, containing approximately 190 portrait albumen prints mounted on cards, many of actors in full dress from various operas, formal family portraits, and others, cards marked for several different Parisian studios including L. Cremiere & Cie, C. H. Reutlinger, Disderi et Cie, Numa Blanc et Cie, each picture 8 by 5cm, several with had written inscriptions below, all mounted into a brown leather heavily embossed binding, a/f poor condition, 24 by 32 by 7cm.Notes: Léon Crémière started as an assistant to André-Adolphe-Eugène Disdéri, before opening his own studio in Paris in 1862, specialising in the photography of hunting dogs and horses, working from his studio at 28 Rue Laval, he became the house photographer and publisher for Napoleon III in 1866.

A period portrait photograph of Andrew Frederick Weatherby Beauchamp-Proctor, VC, DSO, MC, DFC (1894 - 1921), bearing an autograph inscription "Yours affectionately, Andrew", in an Arts and Crafts influenced anodised frame with applied RFC badge, 24 cm x 17 cm [Beauchamp-Proctor was South Africa's leading ace of the First World War, being credited with 54 aerial victories. An extract from his Victoria Cross award citation reads "Captain Beauchamp-Proctor's work in attacking enemy troops on the ground and in reconnaissance during the withdrawal following on the Battle of St. Quentin from March 21st, 1918, and during the victorious advance of our Armies commencing on August 8th, has been almost unsurpassed in its brilliancy, and as such has made an impression on those serving in his squadron and those around him that will not be easily forgotten."]
