Rare early Portrait Jumeau size 7 bisque head Bebe, French circa 1880, fine pale bisque head with fixed brown glass paper-weight eyes, painted lashes and feathered brows, closed mouth, pierced ears and long blonde wig with cork pate, on a good fully jointed wood and composition fixed wrist body with ‘Jumeau, Medaille D’Or, Paris’ stamped in blue to rear, wearing a white cotton dress with lace detail, straw boater, underclothes, socks and size 8 brown leather stamped Jumeau shoes, incised 7, (some slight wear to hands), 17” (43cm) tall.
Rare early Portrait Jumeau size 3 bisque head Bebe, French circa 1880, extremely fine pale bisque head with fixed pale blue glass eyes, painted lashes and feathered brows, closed mouth, pierced ears with pink glass earring, later blonde wig and cork pate, on a good fully jointed wood and composition fixed wrist body with ‘Jumeau, Medaille D’Or, Paris’ stamped in blue to rear, wearing a blue dress with pleated skirt and panel with lace trim, bonnet, underclothes, socks and shoes, incised 3, 12” (30cm) tall.
Large portrait Jumeau fashion doll, French circa 1870, bisque head with fixed brown glass paper-weight eyes, painted lashes and feathered brows, closed mouth, pierced ears and original cork pate and long dark brown wig, swivel head to bisque shoulder-plate and kid leather body, wearing underclothes, together with a pink patterned dress with red silk ribbon sash, black velvet bolero, beret and fur stole, underclothes, socks and shoes, incised 11, (damage to shoulder-plate, body in need of repair, taped up around chest area, both arms and left leg), 30” (76cm) tall.
Of golfing interest a Continental oval silver gilt and enamel presentation box:, the cover with an oval portrait of a gentleman golfer and caddy in the 18th century style, light green enamel body with milled decoration to base, import marks and personalised inscriptions to interior dated 1913-1925, 105cm long
