A cut glass and enameled sterling silver vanity box Late 19th century, American, the cover with maker`s mark of Mauser Manufacturing Co., further marked ``Sterling-Silver 925/1000 Fine``, the circular floral repousse-decorated cover centering an enameled portrait plaque of an 18th century style lady in a feathered hat, with gilt-washed interior; over a circular jar cut in a diamond pattern, 4.5`` H x 6`` Dia.Note: Founded in North Attlenboro, MA in 1887, Mauser moved in 1890 to New York, and then merged in 1903 with Hayes & McFarland Co and Roger William Silverware Co to form Mt Vernon Silversmiths Inc. That company was purchased by Gorham in 1931. Condition: Overall good condition. General marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Lowe, taken in the 76th tear of his age, painted by EE Finch in 1835, (1869 new frame by Dakin, Bangor, Maine), Died in Livermore`, in lemon gold cove frame, SS: 23 1/2" x 19 1/2", OS: 30 1/4" x 26 1/4", very good, untouched condition, minor frame losses.
OOB - `Simeon Skillings, Jr., 1836` by William Matthew Prior (MA, 1806-1873), signed and dated on back `Painted for M. Skillings by Will. Prior, 1836, Portland, Me.`, with conservation tag of Nancy Lee Snow of Falmouth, Me, indicating only a light cleaning with minor retouch; in period silver leaf cove form frame, SS: 17 1/2" x 24", OS: 29 1/2" x 23". Simeon Skillings (Jr) of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, (1787-1865), was a well known raconteur, athlete and farmer who ultimately came to own most of Bangs Island in Casco Bay off Portland, famously rowed across to Peaks Island daily for several years at about the time of this portrait to obtain an education at the children`s school (he had twelve children himself). Prior really caught the engaging personality of his subject, including direct look, tousled hair, ruddy complexion and gold earring.
MARINE OOB - Ship`s Portrait of the Clipper `C.C. Chapman` Underway, by Antonio Nicolo Gasparo Jacobsen, (NY/NJ, 1850-1921), signed lr and dated 1915, inscribed verso in period `Presented Captain Th. M. Andersen from American Transatlantic Company, New York, 1916`, with Christies sales labels, housed in later gold molded frame, SS: 11 1/2" x 19", OS: 17 1/2" x 25", good condition.

GERMAN INLAID TABLE - Early 20th c German Classical Revival Marquetry Library Table in oblong form, signed on underside `G.S. Herbosch, Munchen`, in mahogany, boxwood and exotic veneers, with central oval cartouche surrounded by four ivory vignettes of Leda and the Swan, bell flower swags, vine banded border, carved interlaced edge, inset rounded corners featuring trees with riband, arch and fern decorated skirt centered on carved portrait medallions, delicately tapered square legs capped by carved heads and acanthus leaves, bell flower inlaid, carved hairy paw foot, 30" tall, 48" x 30", edge losses to veneer.

Curtis, 1906, a portrait of the famous Nampeyo, a Hopi-Tewa Potter of Hano, the matriarch of a family of pottery artisans that continues to this day in Arizona and New Mexico, this photo was taken while she was working at the Grand Canyon Lodge owned by Fred Harvey. Titled at bottom and marked `Plate 426`, `From Copyright Photograph, 1906, by E.S. Curtis` and `Photogravure, Suffolk Eng Co, Boston`.
