She married on July 21st, 1792 (as his second wife) Murrough O~Brian, 5th Earl of Inchiquin, who was created Marquess of Thomond on December 29th, 1800. A group of four portrait miniatures relating to the Bird family of Bird`s Custard fame. Bird`s Custard was first formulated and cooked by Alfred Bird in 1837, as his wife was allergic to both eggs and flour - he later went on to invent baking powder, so he could make yeast free bread for her. Included in this lot are a pair of coloured portrait photographs of Geoffrey Bird (grandson of Alfred) in military uniform and his wife Elsie Bird, both 13cm x 18cm; an overpainted photographic print of their daughter Eleanor `Girlie` Marshall Bird in 9ct. gold hallmarked frame with cushion shaped glass 14.5cm x 10.5cm; and an oval painted portrait miniature of Eleanor `Girlie` Marshall Bird in enamelled and silver hallmarked frame, 5.5cm x 8.2cm including suspension loop (4)
