This was once thought to be a depiction of the Packenham-Mahon family who were from Northern Ireland but on the basis that the artist came to London between (1793-1807) and was not known to have visited Ireland, this seems less likely. 3 small areas of rubbing or paint loss around margins lower left, centre right and top which have been clumsily retouched
