Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton (1874 - 1922), Principle Figure of British Polar Explorations, signed copy of his book - The Heart of The Antarctic, published by Heinemann, London 1909, signed under his portrait and dated Nov. 1909. Also a silk bookmark 'Greetings from S.S. Nimrod'. Shackleton returned to the Antarctic in 1908 on the ship 'Nimrod'. Spine cover is off but present
