Attributed to Thomas Richmond (1771-1837), an early 19th-century portrait miniature on ivory, the sitter a young lady (born 1789, died 1810), inserted paper verso with hand-written text, dating it to 1806 and bearing the address of Richmond, a further later external label with indistinct details of the sitter, the whole house in a rose metal case, 9 cm high x 6.5 cm wide.No apparent faults.
Louis William Desanges (1822-1905) English/French, a portrait of a seated lady, oil on canvas, signed and dated 1843, the sitter named verso as Maria Vanneck (1812-1903), daughter of Gerard Vanneck, wife of Michael Henry Perceval (1812-1890), 103 cm x 82 cm in a gilt frame.Several losses and loose parts to the frame (some present).
Attributed to 'W Noble' (19th century), a large half-length portrait of a lady, the sitter belived to be Mary Russell, (daughter of Robert Lomas of Manchester and wife of Thomas Russell of Lancaster), oil on canvas, 89 cm x 68 cm in a gilt frame.Private collection, deceased Berkshire estateSome evidence of overpainting visible under UV light, with surface cracking to the canvas. Painting has been re-lined. In good overall condition with no obvious damage. Some scuffs and wear to the frame in places.
A 19th century Berlin pastille burner with pierced cover, blue ground and with Watteaesque scenes, together with a quantity of other Continental porcelain including three Helena Wolsohn chocolate cups on stands, a Samson scales blue ground coffee cup and saucer after Worcester, a Vienna style cabinet cup and saucer decorated with the portrait of a lady and a Dresden twin handled cup, cover and stand (one tray)Some of the cups and saucers with small chips and restoration in part, some rubbing to the gilt decoration in parts of some items, pastille burner lid appears to of been restored
