Diana M Armfield (b.1920), Near Maentwrog, signed with initials DMA bottom left, further signed and inscribed with title on the reverse of the frame, oil on board, 16. 5 x 16.5cm. Diana M Armfield: Painter designer and teacher who studied at the Slade and Central School of Arts and taught at the Byam Shaw School. She exhibited with Browse & Darby and was a member of the R.A. and Royal Cambrian Academy. She was married to Bernard Dunstan and her uncle was the portrait painter Maxwell Armfield (1881-1972)
A North Devon pottery jug most probably by George Fishley of Fremington, of oviform with ribbed strap handle with thumb rest and scroll terminal the body sgraffito decorated with a portrait of Britannia and the text ‘Britannia Rules the Waves, The Rose and the Thistle and the Shamrock so Green’ with smoking pipes, birds, fruiting branches, wheat and foliate meanders amongst the texts ‘The cock crow to let you know, If you ham (sic) wise what to his ****’ and ‘The path of truth is a plain and safe path, That of Falsehood is a perplexing maze’ together with a small panel of a man surrounded by the text ‘Beware of the Drunkard’s Cloak’, 29 cm high, early 19th century, minor losses.
A Continental porcelain, probably Gotthelf Greiner (Ilmenau) figural clock case modelled with a pair of lovers before a fountain he presenting a portrait miniature she supporting a large urn on her hip, on a bow fronted base modelled with a bonnet of blooms and artists materials, the French movement signed ‘P.CCSA Paris’, 32 cm high, painted blue marks, 19th century.

SOIT. QUI. MAL.Y. PENSE. AMITIE. PARFAITE’ gold lined interior in a later fitted Harvey and Gore case diameter 8cm.
