CONDITION REPORT: This oil painting has been relined. The paint surface is stable. There are areas of craquelure both top left and middle bottom. It is evident in these areas that the paint has separated. The paint surface is also thin in many places.

English School 19th century, portrait of a Naval Officer head and shoulders, oil on canvas. 76 x 64 cm. (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This oil on canvas has been relined. It has a stable paint surface with no visible tears or holes from the front. Ingrained dirt to the paint surface in places. Some areas particularly to the bottom and lower left of the painting where bitumen is becoming apparent.
Elizabeth Adela STANHOPE-FORBES (1859-1912) Self Portrait Etching, monogrammed within the plate, plate size 10.5 x 7cm. To the reverse, a Newlyn Orion Gallery's Ltd. receipt dated 1st July 1981 for the Forbes exhibition, in which this etching was exhibited, stating that it came from the artist's studio collection.This has not been examined out of the glazed frame but it appears to be in excellent condition
Walter LANGLEY (1852-1922), Portrait of a young woman sewing in a cottage Watercolour, signed, 34cm x 23cm.This beautifully painted watercolour has not been examined out of the frame, there is no real sign of foxing but it is likely to have been restored and as a result it has faded.It comes to us from a Cornish private collector who is downsizing.

Some loss of beadwork to the frame. Please view added images. Frame dimensions 90 x 89cm. This work is from a local deceased estate.

Brown (presumably the son of Robert Brown)These WW2 medals are a late issue, with the accompanying slip being dated 1982.They include 1939-45 star, Atlantic star, 1939-45 war medal, plus the Atlantic clasp (the award of this clasp is an anomaly, as it cannot be worn with any of the medals issued, even though it is confirmed on the slip).Plus, 3 commemorative medals, a single Merchant Navy epaulette, a cased Victorian photograph of a young gentleman, a WW1 ere portrait photograph of RNAS officer (named Norman Leithead to the reverse), a brass bullet case with the head converted to a propelling pencil, and other items.Condition: generally good to most items.Service wear to the WW1 medals, which have also toned.The WW2 medals appear to be unworn.The hinge of the cased Victorian photograph is at fault and held together with tape.
