Barbara Dorf (1933-2016)/Portrait of Leonard McComb RA/signed and dated lower left Dorf '99/label verso: Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2000/black conte crayon, 31cm x 25cm/mounted and framed Condition Report: Sheet with some rippling and minor creasing. A 19th Century Chinese export lacquer cabinet, the frieze with sunburst and acanthus scrolls above panel doors enclosing a fitted interior, the base with folding top above a writing slide and single drawer, the turned legs united by a pierced platform stretcher, profusely decorated in gilt, 70cm wide/see illustration Condition Report: Cupboard surmount with some minor damage, cupboard with chips in places, interior central door with slide behind for portrait insertion, lacquer good, both door with internal splits, outer door decoration good, hinged flap very worn and rubbed at edges, front edge also chipped and rubbed, legs and stretcher rubbed at edges and lacquer decoration tired.

Fine Victorian tinted albumen photographic portrait of HRH Prince Arthur aged 8 years, wearing traditional Highland dress and leaning on a chair back with his right leg crossed - in original moulded gilt gesso frame with white oval slip mount - inscribed in gold 'Arthur 1858' and on gilt outer slip 'Prince Arthur', the reverse with original W. Thomas framers label and Windsor Castle inventory stamp 1872 no. 542 and Queens Personal Property crowned VR stamp - the image 16cm x 12cm, the frame 31cm x 26.5cm. Provenance: Given by HRH Prince Arthur The Duke of Connaught to his personal nurse Miss Charlotte Haskins, who nursed him in his later years until his death in 1942 - for which she received the M.V.O. and a R.R.C. Sold with the lot is a signed and inscribed print from Lady Patricia Ramsay, along with two letters from her regarding the death of Miss Haskins. A letter from the Queen of Denmark regarding the death of Miss Haskins, an envelope addressed by HM Queen Elizabeth to The Duke of Connaught, dated 1938 and related ephemera and press cuttings

Baroness Hélène Propper de Callejón (nee Fould-Springer) (1907 - 1997), watercolour portrait inscribed 'du temps de ma grand-mère', signed and dated '34, in glazed frame, 28.5cm x 21cm. N.B The youngest of three daughters of the Parisian based banker Baron Eugène Fould-Springer and his wife Marie Cecile 'Mitzi' Springer, Hélène married the Spanish diplomat Eduardo Propper de Callejón and became a gifted painter using the pseudonym Praday. Their daughter, Elena Propper de Callejón is the mother of Helena Bonham-Carter. This portrait is probably of Helena Bonham-Carter's Great Great Grandmother. The Fould-Springers and Ephrussi families were great patrons of the visual arts in Paris during the latter part of the 19th century and Renoir regularly painted members of the Fould family

A 19th Century oval miniature Methodist plaque inset ebonised frame, with gilt metal suspension loop and printed text verso, together with a cased Victorian yellow metal tie pin decorated with cameo portrait finial (2). CONDITION REPORT: Slight chip to top corner of frame, wear to paper on the reverse of the plaque, stick pin in good condition no chips to cameo.

Fine Victorian Essex Crystal brooch, the oval crystal with reverse painted intaglio depicting a portrait of a terrier, on mother of pearl ground, in a yellow metal 'horseshoe' frame, with rose cut diamonds, 28mm x 24mm CONDITION REPORT Good original condition. Paint in good order, evidence of dirt between the crystal and the mother of pearl back. No obvious damage or repairs. No hallmarks, probably 9ct, small file mark where it may have been previously tested. Total gross weight 7.3 grams
