Military – Boer War era a fine original oval watercolour portrait of an officer wearing dress uniform of the Royal Horse Artillery dated in ink on the image 21.4.99. The elaborate braid on the cuff indicates a Field Officer Rank of Colonel. He could be John Younger who was promoted to Brevet Colonel in 1890. There is a very marked similarity between the portrait and a c de v photograph of Younger who is shown in the photograph wearing an identical uniform. Approx 37x28cm.
