Late 18th century 9ct rose gold (tested) Georgian Memento Mori Brooch originally part of a bracelet, the central portrait of a lady in pose seated, in the foreground a bird cage with an escaping bird. Framed within a border of white enamel beads, pink opals and royal blue enamelling 4.5cm x 3cm, total weight 14.4 grams.
2 WW1 era Princess Mary tins, one with much of its original gilt finish present to the exterior and interior. Usual design, with side facing portrait of Princess Mary, along with ‘Christmas 1914’ and the names of various allied countries. Both tins now minus all of their original contents. Approximately 13cm x 8.5cm x 3cm. Condition: generally good. Some normal age and service wear to each. Oe example retains a lot of its gilt finish, with the other having a tarnished brass finish. One or two dents / depression to the metal, but nothing that affects the overall structure of the tins. The hinged lids to both work well.
