A Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Christmas card dated 1971 with a colour photograph of Her Royal Highness and three of her grandchildren - Viscount Linley, Prince Edward and Sara Armstrong-Jones, signed boldly in black felt pen, together with a British Information Services stock portrait photograph of Queen Elizabeth II by Dorothy Wilding and two versions of the George VI & Queen Elizabeth Coronation programme. An oval portrait miniature of a lady English School, circa 1830, finely painted watercolour on ivory, wearing a black dress with white lace ruff collar and red bead necklace, her dark brown hair curled and upswept in a plaited bun, within a dark blue and gilt verre eglomisé frame with hinged cover, and later outer frame, the miniature 2 x 1½in. (5 x 3.8cm.).
A mid-19th century portrait miniature of a gentleman oval, watercolour on ivory, wearing a black coat, white chemise with pleated front and rounded collars and tied black stock, 9.7 x 7.8cm., inscribed verso `Painted by G. H. Thomas of London at Havana the 11th June 1846 aged 28`, within a gilt mount and French ebonised papier-mâché frame.
A fine mid-19th century portrait miniature of a lady oil on ivory, dressed in a light blue silk dress with lace trim, wearing a jewelled gold brooch to the front of her dress and gold drop earrings, her dark brown hair worn in ringlets, against a gold swept curtain, 10.1 x 8.2cm., within a gilt and composition frame and velvet lined outer box frame with J. & W. Vokins label.
An oval Continental hand painted porcelain plaque second half of 19th century, painted in oils with a portrait of a girl standing singing in a chapel, the organist by her side, inscribed in French along lower edge and signed B. Le Bail, impressed mark verso, 7½ x 6in. (19 x 15in. ), within a giltwood and gesso frame.
Guernsey maritime interest - a George III document relating to HMS Tartar the large document printed and handwritten on vellum, with an engraved portrait of George III within the elaborate initial letter `G` and decorative top border with Royal Arms, signed Godfrey la Tarrant, Registrar, relating to the appointment of Nicholas de Jersey as Commander of the ship, with twenty-five Guernsey men as crew and Henry Le Messurier and Nicholas le Messurier of Guernsey Merchants as principals, dated January 1781, with large seal attached. * HMS Tartar was a 28 gun sixth rate Frigate of the Royal Navy, first commissioned in 1756. She had a fine reputation during the seven years war in and around the Channel and later sailed to Barbados with a timepiece, then seeing service in the American and French Revolutionary Wars. She was eventually wrecked off Saint-Domingue on 1 April 1797.

A six-volume miniature set of Works by Sir Walter Scott, Glasgow: David Bryce, c.1880s, wood engraved frontis. to each, all edges stained red, orig. decorated blue cloth, 16mo, contained in orig. Mauchline Ware polished sycamore box with double-hinged lid, the top transfer printed with a portrait of Scott and a view of Melrose Abbey, 80 x 103 x 72 mm. (1)

A Mauchline Ware Queen Victoria Jubilee (1887) commemorative cotton reel box, with all over transfer print decoration, including medallion portrait to lid, Royal crest and cyphers, four oval views of Royal residencies, etc., manufacturer’s printed paper label inside lid (Clark & Co), 11cm long, with another cotton reel box, in the form of a miniature chest or coffer, the hinged lid with catch, printed with portrait of Queen Victoria and view of Windsor Castle, 11cm wide, plus a Mauchline Ware pincushion disc, printed ‘Oban from the South West’ and ‘Queen Victoria Jubilee 1887’ verso, a truncheon-shape needle case, painted with the VR cypher and a cylindrical needle case, transfer-printed in gold and colours with Queen Victoria’s Jubilee crest. A rare Mauchline Ware Queen Victoria Jubilee (1887) commemorative cotton reel holder in the form of a miniature dresser or coffer, overall transfer printed in blue with central medallion portrait of Queen Victoria, four medallion views of Royal residencies, latin motto, the Royal anthem and significant anniversary dates, etc., manufacturer’s paper label inside lid (Clark & Co), black japanned finish, 11.5cm wide. A Mauchline Ware circular spool box, the lid printed ‘The Prince and Princess of Wales’, pierced for six cottons, with printed view ‘Burns’ Cottage’ and ‘Made of Wood which grew on the Banks of the Doon near Alloway Kirk’, with manufacturer’s label for ‘Clark & Co., Paisley’, 11cm diameter, together with a similar example, photographic printed, ‘Prince and Princess of Wales’, with manufacturer’s label for ‘Ashworths Machine Cotton’, side printed ‘Pwllycrochon Hotel, Colwyn’, together with related views, plus a money box celebrating the marriage of George V and Queen Mary, [1911], with a Tartanware cylindrical box for the 1887 Jubilee finished in Victoria tartan, and an ebonised box printed with a large chromolithographic portrait of Queen Victoria, titled ‘Her Majesty The Queen of England and Empress of India’, 14cm wide and an 1887 Jubilee paper knife. * A collection of sixteen mid 19th century souvenir marmotinto or sand pictures of Isle of Wight views, including The Dairyman’s Cottage at Arreton, Carisbrooke Castle, Alum Bay, Osborne House, etc., a few with ink captions, most measuring approx. 9 x 12cm with a few larger, together with others including a hand painted portrait miniature of a lady on ivory with pencil caption to verso “Marquise d’Inpoit”, two humourous pencil drawings of chickens in a farmyard dated 1847, two hand finished lithos. of travellers, three signed etchings by L. Russell Conway, a painted pot lid of Dunrobin Castle, etc., all framed and glazed. (approx. 28)
H.M.S. Britannia, a silver medal, 1906, for her launching, by the Welham Mfg. Co., Britannia, rev. starboard ship portrait, 27mm, in turned lignum case with glass inset in lid. Extremely fine and rare. H.M.S. Britannia was an Edward VII class battleship. She was sunk by a German torpedo on 9 November 1918, just two days before the end of the war, with the loss of 50 men - the last Royal Navy ship to be sunk in the war.
