Oberleutnant Albrecht Bischof signed RAF AD39 Shuttleworth collection cover. Variant by Hans Rossbach. No 11 of 15. Born 7-5-1896. Pioneer and WW1 pilot. From 1916-1917 he was a crew member of army airships LZ72, LZ93, LZ113 and LZ120 ( Lehmann) in 1918 he was trained as a pilot. Includes 3 photos , of which one is a portrait, 1 taken before WW1 on his glider at Rhon 1913 and other showing him behind his machine gun on the defence platform of LZ120. Good condition Est. £10-15
Baron Gottfried Von Banfield signed RAF25 25th anniversary of first flight of the Canberra cover. Variant by Hans Rossbach. No 2 of 7. Highly decorated and most successful KUK (Austrian) navy pilot (Linienschiffsleutnant) in WW1. Born 6-2-1890. Trained as a pilot at Wiener Neustadt in 1912. Statione at Pola and Triest in WW1 and flew man missions at the Italian Adria Front, Venice and the Isonzo front. Was better known at the time as the Eagle of Triest. Total of 9 victories in WW1. Includes 1 portrait photo. Good condition. Est. £10-15
CONTINENTAL SCHOOL "Seated elderly bearded Cardinal in red skull cap and robes", watercolour, unsigned, together with "Portrait study of a girl", modern reproduction colour print CONDITION REPORTS Size of Cardinal picture approx 14 x 17cm, some light general wear and some small nicks and wear around edges of paper, but otherwise appears in reasonably good order. There is a pencil inscription to the back of the frame which reads "Jan 18th 1969....". Back has been removed for inspection, and there is a pencil inscription to the back of the picture - which appears as though it may read ".... green Walnut flat .."?? - please see photos. The framed print of a lady has some general wear and scuffs.
