English Provincial School, early 19th Century-Portrait of Jane Holehouse, bust-length,:-with blue eyes and wearing a lace bonneta red curtain beyondoil on canvas, 65 x 56cm, in a plain mahogany frame with moulded 'bulls-eye' to each corner. *Biography Jane Holehouse of Wirksworth, born 30th July 1776 and died July 1849 in Manchester. She married Andrew Macbeth, a tailor [1766-1829], in Wirksworth, Derbyshire in 1791.
Walter Langley [1852-1922]- Portrait of a woman, head and shoulders, wearing a hat adorned with daisies,:-signed bottom leftpastel drawing on paper, oval 23 x 17.5cm,together with one other oval watercolour portrait attributed to Langley. [2]*Notes A transcribed note on the backing of the first portrait says there is an inscription in the margin 'To my friend Miss J Phillips'.* Provenance. The first portrait purchased at a house sale in Regents Square, Penzance in 1977.

An early 18th century German pewter-mounted brown stoneware cylindrical tankard and a 19th century English stoneware shaving mug: the tankard with concentric bands of ribbing and with applied oval medallion of crowned GR? monogram with initials A and B either side, the later pewter mount with portrait bust of Frederik VII, probably Lower Saxony, 22cm; the shaving mug with hunting reliefs and rope twist handle, 15cm [2].*Notes Literature David Gaimster 'German Stoneware 1200-1900' pages 300/301, pl.158.
