An uncommon Crown Devon Rd.No. 813582 Musical trinket box commemorating the life of John Peel 1776 - 1854. The top with a good portrait of interest, the subject holding a whip and hunting horn, flanked by foxhound`s. The corners formed by tree trunk like supports, the sides and end panels with fox masks, whips and hunting horns, the front with two verses of the famous song/ refrain. The movement at one time having been connected to a front opening compartment. 8 1/4`` x 4 5/8`` high. Some cracks/damage
