Late 19th/early 20th century French cabinet camera, lens signed "Clement & Gilmer - Paris "Extra Rapid Portrait Lens", the case of rectangular form with double section concertina on a screw adjusting rail with fold-down hinged back and fitted glass plate verso, the whole raised on a substantial tripod base with screw adjusting tilt, overall height 125 1/2cms, width of camera body 32cms together with two brass bound mahogany cartridges with slides for 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 ins images and glazed adapter plate and two smaller cartridges
Mid-19th century walnut and ebonised stencilled mantel clock, the arched case with overhanging cornice surmounted by pineapple finials and waisted and scrolling body with moulded border on a plinth base and set with a composite panel depicting a profile portrait of "Conte Camillo Beuso di Cavour" (Italian statesman, 1810-1861), beneath a stepped brass bezel with beaded border enclosing a 10cms (4ins) gilt printed Roman dial with outside minute track and blued steel moon hands to a circular brass movement with back mounted count wheel and anchor escapement strike on a bell and with silk suspension, height 45 1/2cms
