MONTBLANC FOUNTAIN PEN "THE BEATLES".Barrel in coloured lacquer.Two-tone 14 Kts. gold nib, ruthenium-plated.Limited edition.No box.Measurements: 14.5 cm in length; 16.19 mm in diameter.The Beatles are considered one of the most famous rock bands of all time. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the most prominent and influential act of the rock era. In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as 'Beatlemania'. As the group's music grew in sophistication, led by principal songwriters Lennon and McCartney, they came to be perceived as an embodiment of the ideas shared by the 1960s counterculture. The cone is inspired by the button on the mixing desk at the famous Abbey Road Studios, while the top cap is inspired by the studio's microphone. The clip symbolises the Beatles' iconic moustache in their portrait. The coloured stripes on the lacquered cap and body pay homage to the outfits they wore on the album covers of 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Love Me Do'. It features the traditional white house star on the top of the hood. The nib, hand-crafted in Au 585/14 Kts. gold, is specially engraved and ruthenium-plated.

Richard Buckner (1812-1893), oil on canvas, oval portrait of Mrs Beauclerk, 86 x 67cm, in a good Victorian giltwood and composition frame bearing old labels Provenance: by family descent, it is believed to portrait was painted c.1867 and depicts Grace Duchess of St Albans (nee Bernal-Osborne (c.1847-1926) when she was 18 years old.
Col. Sir Henry F. MacGeagh (1883-1962) British judge, who served as Judge Advocate Gen of the Armed Forces, - a collection of family archives, including a Christmas card, dated December 21st, 1950, from Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, inscribed, ‘’For the Treasurer of the Middle Temple [Col. Sir Henry MacGeagh, treasurer in 1950], from The Ex-Treasurer’’, [treasurer in 1949] and signed with monograms ER, together with six black and white photographs, (three of a ceremonial dinner at Middle Temple, with the Queen Mother as guest of honour and three of the Queen Mother and Sir Henry), various photographs of Hadlow Castle, in Kent, (the MacGeagh family home), and numerous related 19th century cabinet portrait photographs, etc.,
STEVE MCCURRY (AMERICAN b. 1950), SHARBAT GULA, AFGHAN GIRL, PAKISTAN offset lithographic colour print, signed in pen lower right image size 49cm x 33cm, overall size 76cm x 58cm Mounted, framed and under glass. Note: Steve McCurry took his most recognised portrait, ''Afghan Girl'', in a refugee camp near Peshawar, Pakistan in 1984. The image itself was named as ''the most recognised photograph'' in the history of the National Geographic magazine and her face became famous as the cover photograph on the June 1985 issue. The photo has also been widely used on Amnesty International brochures, posters, and calendars. The identity of the ''Afghan Girl'' remained unknown for over 17 years until McCurry and a National Geographic team located the woman, Sharbat Gula, in 2002.
* FIONNA CARLISLE (SCOTTISH b. 1954), NORTH SEA OIL RIG mixed media, signed and dated 2011 image size 69cm x 66cm, overall size 75cm x 70cm Framed and under glass. Note: Fionna Carlisle is a highly respected Scottish artist, notably commissioned by the House of Commons to paint the portrait of the late Rt Hon Robin Cook MP. Her work also appears in the collections of The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, SNPG, Scottish Arts Council, IBM, De Beers, Robert Fleming Holdings Ltd. and numerous others.
