A Victorian 18ct. gold five stone diamond set pendant locket upon 9ct. gold choker necklace, the pendant lid inset with five diamonds of 0.05ct spread approx. each, the central diamond of 0.03ct spread approx. formed to look like a daisy head and with engraved decoration, hinged to reveal a watercolour on ivory portrait miniature of a young gentleman, together with a glazed hair panel with three seed pearls, length of pendant including suspension loop 52mm approx., weight of pendant 27.3g approx., weight of choker necklace 17.8g approx., weight overall 45g approx.
English School, 18th century, a half length portrait of a young girl in a white dress, holding a posy, oil on canvas, paper label to the reverse inscribed Thomas Hickey, bought at Bonhams 1960107 x 92cmCondition report: Is in clean overall condition. Has been relined and the frame is later 20th century in date, but clean. The painted surface has a fine crazing to the surface and there are some tiny paint losses. There looks to have been some repair to the top right hand corner as you look at the picture approximately 10cm in from the corner, which is not easy to see. Has been inherited by the family.

The waterfowl example with old tears especially to the right hand side, further creasing, sellotape marks, central fold and some browning. Some spotting to the Skeaping example, paper wavy in places. Frames heavily worn.

Some old surface loss and wear / loss to the top and bottom of the spines and some cracks. Internally with light age wear toning and some foxing but generally clean and tidy.

Internally with open front gutter, browning to the edges of the end papers and title page and general toning to the pages throughout. Despite faults internally ok. Thomson bindings with general rubbing and wear, cracking and fraying to the top of the spine of Vol I and loss to the top of the spine on Vol II. Damage to corner of pages 235-242 in Vol I – does not appear to affect text. General age toning and some foxing.

General rubbing and light wear to the bindings. The upper tab of the spine on Vol II with a slight chip. Both tabs to Vol III with a chip. Internally with general age wear browning to the pages, some foxing and some offsetting.
