Rothenstein montage, drawn on a single piece of paper with the exception of the lower right image which has been laid down onto it, slightly faded with some scattered dirt and fox spots, a little acid staining around the edges of the stuck down image.

A late 18th to early 19th century circular oil on panel shoulder-length portrait miniature of Henry VIII within an ebonised frame (panel 8.6cm and frame 13cm in diameter) This has come from a private client who has a collection of miniatures and has chosen to sell some of them.  The back of the round painting has sustained some prevalent scratching to the centre taking away the ebonising.   It is in fairly good overall original condition, there is a brown spot visible above the subjects left eye and also some surface scratching although this is only visible close up under a loupe.  There is an approx. 1cm scratch looking at it from the front to the left of the chain of office.
