The front frieze rail bearing a central monogram and date 1587 above four painted Romayne panels centred by portrait roundels amidst scrolls of zoomorphic foliage interspersed with carved muntins depicting flowering plants. The ends enriched with further carving and fitted with iron carrying handles. The domed top opening to reveal two internal tills; one at each end with punch work embellishments to the lids. 27 ins (68.5 cm) high, 73 ¼ ins (186 cm) wide and 31 ins (79 cm) deep.
