Margaret Fisher Prout (1875-1963)/Flowers in Painted Cup/artist's label verso/mixed media, 30.5cm x 32cm/Provenance: given as a gift by the artist to the Dowager Countess of Buchan, while painting her portrait circa 1940s-50s, and by descent CONDITION REPORT: Appears in very nice condition. Behind glass and not removed for examination but appears to be painted on fibrous paper, with a small hole to top right corner, possibly from being pinned up. Margaret Fisher Prout (1875-1963)/Flowers in White and Gold Cup/artist's label verso/mixed media, 30.25cm x 33.5cm/Provenance: given as a gift by the artist to the Dowager Countess of Buchan, while painting her portrait circa 1940s-50s, and by descent CONDITION REPORT: Behind glass and not removed for examination but appears to be painted on fibrous paper, with a couple of small holes in paper to top right corner, possibly from being pinned up. Paper has become slightly brown around the white bodycolour, otherwise condition appears very good. In good contemporary frame (some losses).
