The memorial bracelet with hinged mount and clasp on a three-strand plaited hair bracelet, portrait mount approx 60 x 50 mm, width of bracelet approx 50mm and the length approx 19 cms, approx 60 gms.

Oil on canvas Dated 1782 on a fragment of letter centre right 81 x 65cm (31 1/8 x 25 1/2in.) Provenance:Sale: Sotheby's London, 29th April 2010, lot 245Hubert Antoine du Bertrand (circa 1729-1794) was a priest, doctor of theology and principal of the Royal College of Navarre. On the eve of the French revolution, the college was one of the most prestigious in Paris.
English Provincial School, 19th Century, Portrait of John Adcock (d. 1819), in a dark green waistcoat and jacket, oil on canvas, 60 x 47 cm. Inscribed on the stretcher to the reverse: "John Adcock, died June 26th 1819 aged 73 years, burried in St Lawrence's Church" Oil on canvas which has been lined. There is flattened wrinkling in the flesh paint with extensive areas of retouching which have become pale over time. There is also an area of retouching in the sitter's collar. The painting has a thick layer of varnish which is yellowed but even. There are a few chips and losses to the frame.
