A late Victorian gold coloured seed pearl and enamel pendant, total 28.2g, the front set with an oval cut agate with photographic portrait of a moustached gentleman verso, on a 9ct gold chain, 10.7g CONDITION REPORTS There is general wear conducive with age and use - to include some small chips to the enamel, surface scratching, dirt, etc. See images for more details. Size of pendant 4.5cm x 3.7cm approx. Pearls all extant, enamel with some minor surface scratching and minor loss to the edging where possibly it did not fill in the first place, chain basically sound.
A late George III paper roll or quilling decorated tea caddy of elongated hexagonal form, decorated with panels of wreaths and lyres, the front panel with oval painted silkwork portrait of a lady, 18.5 cm wide x 13.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Signs of shrinkage between the top and the base as there is a clear gap between the two. There is a large amount of fading to the portait, the baize from the underside has almost disappeared altogether. The joint at the back - there is a small piece missing bottom corner. There is some general fading throughout. Interior - there is very little foil remaining but there are some remnants. Would suggest that the lid hinges are possibly replacements. ATTRIBUTED TO BENJAMIN WATERHOUSE HAWKINS (1807-1894) "Study of King Charles Spaniel puppy in liver and white", bears handwritten paper label verso "By Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins A portrait of his favourite King Charles Spaniel", oil on canvas 24 cm x 24 cm CONDITION REPORTS Significant cracks and crazing to the paint throughout. White mark to the right of the dog's left eye. White marks to the inside of the circular canvas. Speckled white mark underneath the dog's chin. Frame with various cracks, etc throughout, some small chips, etc. Under UV light the painting appears milky with dark marks - mainly to the ears of the dog and to the circle above his head.

Three silver boxes comprising a snuff box having purple guilloche enamel to the lid and applied floral basket design set with Marcasite stones, the interior lid inset with mirror and interior base having import hallmarks for London 1927; a patch box with engine turned design, aqua guilloche enamel to the sides and lid with hand painted full length portrait of a gentleman in classical costume, the interior base having import hallmarks for 1928; and a trinket pot in the form of a hat box with engraved musical design and hinged lid with possibly French hallmarks Snuff - approx 22g, no visible damage, 4cm x 3cm Patch - approx 32g, some surface scratching to lid, some chips and bruising to enamel, 4cm diameter Trinket - approx 21g, some minor denting, lid doesn't quite seat properly when closed, 4cm x 3cm
