DAME ETHEL WALKER, A.R.A., N.E.A.C. (British, 1861-1951) Portrait of The Honourable Reverend George Wingfield Bourke (1829-1903), son of the 5th Earl of Mayo, oils on canvas, 21 1/2" x 17 1/2" This is one of the earliest known paintings by Ethel Walker. An amateur dealer, Mr Heatherington, contacted Marian Kratochwil in 1962, and Kratochwil infomed Knight that he was selling this painting. Knight then duly bought the picture for the princely sum of £10 (asking price £12)
