His family's colonial interests and connection to slavery saw him awarded compensation for 25 enslaved people in St Catherine, Jamaica as owner-in-fee.

A hand-painted illustration of Bruce Lee by acclaimed artist Chris Achilleos. This illustration is of Lee from his iconic martial arts film Enter The Dragon, during his climactic fight with Han (Shih Kien). The portrait was originally created by Achilleos for the cover of Lee's book My Martial Arts Training Guide 'Jeet Kune-Do' and later used for a Warner Bros VHS release of Enter the Dragon. Achilleos also worked as a concept artist on the movies Heavy Metal and Willow, and his artwork appeared on the cover of Whitesnake's album LovehunterThe portrait is drawn in pencil and finished using Achilleos' signature airbrushing technique. Achilleos has signed it alongside Lee's right hip. The artwork is presented under UV protective glass with a black wooden frame, with a steel cable on the reverse for displaying. The painting of Jeremy Grey (Vince Vaughn) from David Dobkin's comedy Wedding Crashers. Todd (Keir O'Donnell) painted a picture of a nude Jeremy, entitled "Celebration", and presented it to him in the middle of the night after tying him up. Jeremy later took the painting with him when he and John (Owen Wilson) were ejected from the house. The hand-painted portrait features a nude Jeremy covered only by a leaf as he picks apples in an orchard. Jeremy's head was painted separately and applied, and there is a very slight change in texture between the painting and application. The painting has slightly faded with age.
