A 19th century oak, mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, the hood with swan-neck pediment and stop fluted and brass capped columns, the truck enclosed by a shaped waist panel door with inlaid shell paterae, between fluted quarter pilasters, the base with similar decoration, the 35.5cm. arched painted dial with a portrait of a minister, possibly Wesley, reading the Bible to the arch, having subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train movement with anchor escapement and gong strike, 229cm. high.
