ADMIRAL LORD HORATIO NELSON, 1ST VISCOUNT NELSON (1758-1805) / HMS VICTORY INTEREST: A collection of items consisting of the following:Lord Nelson's wax seal depicting side profile portrait of Nelson framed by lettering “ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY” upon a turned ebony mount. Provenance: Previously belonged to a descendant of Nelson. A circa 1805 damask white tablecloth, produced as a tribute with design of HMS Victory surmounted by a heart containing the words “Sacred Nelson” amidst foliage. Provenance: Given to descendant of Nelson as a gift (Miss Beryl Nelson, Warham, Wells Next the Sea). Had been passed on through generations from Captain John Rendell R.N. A late 18th / early 19th Century knife and fork, horn handles and hand forged steel. From HMS Victory when Admiral Lord Nelson was in command. Provenance: Accompanied by an early handwritten note “This is to certify that this knife and fork came off The Victory and was given one by Captain J.L. Zuinton who served under Lord Nelson and was on board at the time of his death.
