Das ebenfalls von Isabey gemalte Miniaturbildnis seiner jüngeren Tochter Alexandrine, die 1817 den Marquis de Talhouët heiratete, befand sich in der Pariser Auktion von 1928 und wurde wieder versteigert bei Sotheby's, Paris, am 1. April 2015, Los 79. Ihre ältere Schwester Marie-Élisa heiratete 1814 Honoré-Charles Baston, Comte de la Riboisière. Es konnte nicht bestätigt werden, ob vorliegende Miniatur ursprünglich aus der Familie der Marquis de Talhouët oder aus der Familie der Comtes de la Riboisière stammt. Auch ist es nicht ausgeschlossen, dass Comte Jean de la Riboisière, der vierte und letzte Graf seines Namens, die Miniatur aus der Familie seiner Großtante Talhouët in der Auktion von 1928 zurückkaufte. Um 1770/1775.Gilles-Paul Cauvet (1731 Aix-en-Provence - 1788 Paris), Bildhauer, Architekt und Ornamentzeichner, gilt als einer der Wegbereiter des Klassizismus in der angewandten Kunst Frankreichs. Von seinen Eltern zu einer Karriere als Jurist bestimmt, entschied er sich für die Kunst und brach in jugendlichem Alter nach Paris auf, wo er als Bildhauer arbeitete. 1766 wurde er Direktor der Pariser St.-Lukasgilde (Académie de Saint-Luc), die Künstlern, die an den öffentlichen Ausstellungen der Académie Royale de Peinture nicht teilnehmen durften, bis 1776 die Möglichkeit bot, ihre Werke dem Pariser Publikum zu präsentieren. Er wurde vom Comte de Provence, dem Bruder des Königs Ludwig XVI. von Frankreich, gefördert und erhielt 1774 den Titel "Sculpteur de Monsieur, Frère du Roi". Er arbeitete für den königlichen Hof. An der Innendekoration des Pariser Palais Royal war er massgeblich beteiligt. 1777 erschien sein Ornamentstichwerk "Recueil d'Ornemens à l'usage des jeunes artistes qui se destinent à la décoration des bâtimens", das zahlreiche Ebenisten seiner Zeit beeinflusste. Seine Möbelentwürfe entsprechen dem Stil Louis XVI in Überwindung des Rokoko. A rare late 19th/early 20th century gilt French novelty clock in the form of a Sedan ChairMaple & Co, number 64422The case realistically modelled on an 18th century sedan chair, surmounted by a large fleur de lys plume set on a crown and four scrolls, above three glazed sides, the front panel features a portrait of a young noblewoman, her head tilted as though she is gazing out of the carriage, to her left is set the white enamel Roman dial with blued steel spade hands, to her right is the glazed door through which the clock movement is set and wound. The body of the chair is cast with five rococo panels of playful putti within scrollwork and running vines, each side set with a pair of fixed carrying handles, the whole set on reeded scroll supports. The twin spring barrel movement with jewelled Swiss lever platform escapement, the back plate stamped for the retailers Maple & Co Ltd Made in France 64422.
