18TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SCHOOL "Gentleman in curled wig with ponytail", a portrait bust study on waisted square socle, terracotta, unsigned, 53 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has several chips to the terracotta, each with what appears to be a metal pin sticking out of it. The head has been off and re-applied. There are several large cracks running down it. The socle's corner has been off. Generally in need of a good clean. The bust has been off the base and re-glued. Surface cracking all over. General wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details

19TH CENTURY ITALIAN SCHOOL "Bearded man with Staff", a portrait study, oil on canvas, indistinctly signed bottom right, 37 cm x 21 cm CONDITION REPORTS Appears to have been cleaned and has a couple of smaller dark patches showing up under UV. Has areas of crazing throughout and there are two patches to the centre of the image which don't appear to be varnished. There is a line running all the way round the image, possibly from rubbing from a previous frame, as well as some surface scratches and marks. Has been re-lined. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. Frame has general wear and tear - see images for further details

AFTER DOROTHY WILDING (1893-1976) "Queen Elizabeth II", a photographic portrait study, black and white, seated in formal dress, signed "Elizabeth R" and dated 1953 to the bottom centre, paper size 66 cm x 51 cm (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS Titled 'AFTER' because it is a print and not done in the Artist's own hand. ARR stands for 'Artist's Resale Rights' - it is applicable. Image appears to be stuck on mount board. Has general wear and tear to include some discolouration to the ink. There is some small pinhead size damage to the mount board. Frame has surface scratches, knocks etc and wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details. The Queen's signature is on the mount, there is no Certificate of Authenticity - it is glazed

LATE 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Young lady in straw hat in silk dress holding a crook", a portrait study with sheep in a field in the distance, oil on canvas, unsigned, 48 cm x 39 cm CONDITION REPORTS Under UV a couple of spots are showing up including to the edge of the right hand and to the underneath of her same arm, a couple of areas on her skirt and a dark patch coming off from her right shoulder. Appears to have been re-lined and there is an edge visible all the way round the oil from the front and there is crazing all over. There are some white marks also on the paintwork mainly in the top left hand corner, in need of a clean, general wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images

ATTRIBUTED TO CHARLES D'AGAR (1669-1723) "George Allanson as a young boy", a portrait study, half length within an oval, oil on canvas, unsigned (George Allanson-Wynn, first Baron Hedley 1725-1798 was a British Barrister, Judge and Politician. He entered Lincoln's Inn in 1744 and was called to the Bar in 1755), 75 cm x 63 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has been re-lined. Has been cleaned, there are some darker marks visible under UV where there has been touching up/repair. There is the evidence of a large scratch running from the boy's right hand temple approx 15 cm in length towards his shoulder. Has crazing and cracking throughout especially evident to the boy's forehead and an area of flaking to his right hand shirt lapel. There is something going on with his fingers but unsure what this is. Also there is flaking along the right hand edge, some cracking to the bottom left hand corner and there are some repairs and touching up throughout. In need of a clean, there are some white marks throughout as well as some further light surface scratches. General wear and tear conducive of age and use. Frame has areas of damage - flaking, cracking etc and also appears to have been repaired at various times - see images for further details

Has signs of all over crazing which has been touched up as just said. Areas of dirt, some light surface scratches, this is visible from the front. General wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images including those under UV for more details. Frame has cracks, flaking, dirt etc throughout

19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Three young girls in lace-trimmed dresses", a triple portrait study, oil on canvas, unsigned, 94 cm x 87 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has been re-lined and has various areas of touching up etc showing under UV especially to the top right hand corner and to the smaller child's head and area towards the base of her skirt. Has areas of crazing throughout. There is a hole to the canvas in the top right hand corner and several scratches throughout, predominantly a white one to the green cushion at the bottom and some to the middle child's hair. Has general wear and tear conducive with age and use. Frame similarly has surface cracks etc to the gesso. General wear and tear, in need of a clean etc - see images for further details

A set of eight French mahogany framed open arm elbow chairs, the top rails decorated with ribbon tied portrait medallions repeated on the front rail, perhaps emblematic of the slave trade, raised on carved and moulded cabriole supports (6 plus 2 carvers) CONDITION REPORTS Probably dating to the middle/latter part or the 19th Century. In all probability, formerly gilded and, at some time, stripped and re-polished, evidence of reddy colour of size remnants in several areas. Most brackets replacements. Several areas of shrinkage and/or damage throughout. See images for examples. One chair with iron brackets to all four legs and another with iron brackets to the two rear legs. A further chair with iron brackets to both rear legs. Upholstery obviously all much later i.e. modern. Some crazing is evident. There is a dent to the canvas at the bottom left hand corner - unsure why this is - a possible repair to the stretcher. Has some light surface scratching, knocks etc all conducive with age and use. The frame itself also has some knocks and chips, crazing to the gilding etc - see images for further details
