A French 16th Century Renaissance Style Cabinet. The upper section having a carved & dentil moulded cornice above a scrolling foliate frieze and two Romayne panel doors with portrait roundels amidst lavishly scrolling leaves & flowers. The doors centred by a caryatid and flanked by protuberant atlantes adorning the corners. The two frieze drawers divided by boldly carved rams' heads and raised on a richly carved Romayne panelled back with twinned caryatid supports to the front leading down to the carved cavetto moulded platform & ball feet, 51 ins (130 cms) wide, 65½ ins (167 cms) high and 19½ ins (50 cms) deep.
A Fine 17th Century Joined Oak Low Livery Cupboard of good colour & patination. The top having a moulded edge above an enclosed cupboard with a panel door to the centre and small square Romayne panels either side carved with man & wife in portrait roundels. The muntins, frieze & rails enriched with chip-carved bands. The sides with twin panels, the back with reclaimed coffer paneling. Standing on rising baluster legs with block feet united by peripheral rails, 41 ins (104 cms) wide, 19½ ins (50 cms) deep and 31 ins (79 cms) in height.
A Pair of Delightful Charles II Joined Oak Side Chairs carved with name John Pype and dated 1683. Each chair having a domed cresting rail with voluted scroll terminals and a portrait medallion of a man amidst scrollwork above a similarly carved back panel with a row of five short slats in-between. The cross rails bearing the name IOHN PYPE and date 1683 defined against a cut away matted ground flanked by tapering palmate uprights. The planked seat edged in applied moulding and standing on turned legs joined by turned front stretchers and plain stretchers to the sides & rear. Ex of Humbleton Hall.
Six silver teaspoons, the terminals enamelled with the town crest of Weymouth, a large sterling circular ashtray with South American style decoration, a circular Egyptian dish, pierced with the portrait of a female deity, a decanter and stopper with faceted decoration, a plated circular dish with scroll pierced decoration, a plated Fiddle pattern fish slice, and an octagonal dish.
