A 18ct yellow gold framed oval cameo brooch/pendant with the profile portrait of a female figure, 49 x 37mm, and a similar pale pink example in a 9ct yellow gold frame, 52 x 47mm (af) (2).Additional InformationThe 18ct yellow gold framed example has a very small hairline crack to the edge back of the cameo, light rubbing to the front. The 9ct example has several cracks running through it, has a simple loop attachment at the top where it is possible a safety chain was clipped to. General surface wear.
ATTRIBUTED TO JOHN WRIGHT; an 19th century watercolour portrait miniature, quarter length, of a gentleman looking to his right, wearing a blue coat with gold buttons, tied stock and frilled cravat, set within a yellow metal mourning frame, 6.5 x 5cm, the reverse with applied roundels, the first with initials 'W.T.F', the second with a bow and arrow sheath, with locks of hair and jewelled detail.

Additional InformationThe central panel with the portrait with a fine craquelure throughout, general rubbing to the gilt detailing here and there throughout consistent with age and use, sides and base also with a craquelure, the upper two corners of the lid with two old chip, the largest about 1cm, these are more so the underside than the topside, the bottom two corners also with slight chips/wear, the base panel with general scuffs and some rounding/wear to the corners, internally general light wear to the craquelure but essentially clean and bright, the velvet writing slope split along the central fold and with fraying, despite faults overall appearance ok.
