Manner of Gainsborough Dupont, (circa 1754-1797), landscape with figures, charcoal heightened with white chalk, on paper, together with two others by the same hand, largest 14 x 19cm (3). Gainsborough Dupont was the nephew and thought to be the only recorded pupil of Thomas Gainsborough, who went on to become an established portrait painter in his own right
Thomas Duckett of Preston, (1804-1878) a 19th century carved marble portrait bust, of Mrs Baynes, dated 1862, signed and inscribed to the reverse, on a socle base, 72cm high. Thomas Duckett was apprenticed at Franceys, in Liverpool, a firm of stonemasons, before returning to his home town of Preston, where he became a well respected sculptor. Perhaps his most notable work is his limestone monument of Sir Robert Peel, erected in 1852, which still stands in the centre of the town.

P. M. Talbot (early 20th century), "Hell has no fury" Portrait of Cristabel Pankhurst, oil on canvas, unsigned, 40 cm x 30 cm, gilt frame. Label verso. Dame Christabel Harriette Pankhurst, (1880 - 1958), was a suffragette born in Manchester. A co-founder of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU), she directed its militant actions from exile in France from 1912 to 1913. In 1914 she supported the war against Germany. After the war she moved to the United States, where she worked as an evangelist for the Second Adventist movement.

MARY BREWSTER HAZELTON (AMERICAN 1868-1953) PORTRAIT OF A SEATED LADY IN EVENING DRESS Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1923, 77 x 63.5cm (30 1/4 x 25") Gilbert Telfer Collection, Edinburgh Condition Report: There are three small patches on the lower half section of the canvas verso, corresponding to restoration work noticeable recto. On close inspection there are also two small damage areas with retouching one located on the left hand and the other on the right hand, lower quarter sections. There is a impressed damage line in the canvas, approximately 2 centimetres in length, located to the right of the figure's neck. There is a light vertical score mark on the surface, approximately 10 centimetres in length, located in the bottom right hand quarter section in proximity to the corner.
CLARA M HAWKES (BRITISH 19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A LADY IN EVENING DRESS Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1896, 61 x 51cm (24 x 20") Gilbert Telfer Collection, Edinburgh Condition Report: The painting has been lined and there are signs of a small amount of retouching in areas in the top left hand quarter section. There is fine cracking in the pigment in the area of the upper back with retouching having also taken place in this area. There appears to be very tiny areas of retouching in the area lower left of the mouth.

JAMES ELDER CHRISTIE NEAC (SCOTTISH 1847-1914) PORTRAIT OF A LADY IN A SILK GOWN Oil on canvas, signed, 106.5 x 71cm (42 x 28") Gilbert Telfer Collection, Edinburgh Condition Report: On inspection there is an area of damage where the canvas has been pushed and impressed with accompanying scoring of the surface, in an area measuring approximately 3 by 6 centimetres, located in the bottom right hand quarter section, and adjacent to that another small damage area, approximately 1.5 centimetres square in area. There is the odd chip damage mark to the surface throughout generally and in particular another pushed and impressed damage mark to the canvas, approximately one centimetre in length, located on the figure's left cheek.
JOHN MCBIRNEY (IRISH 19TH/20TH CENTURY) SELF PORTRAIT WITH PIPE Oil on canvas, 43.5 X 33.5cm (17 x 13 1/4") Gilbert Telfer Collection, Edinburgh Condition Report: There is an area of damage to the canvas, measuring two by one centimetres in area with accompanying paint loss and almost through the canvas, located lower middle and right. There appears to have been retouching at the right and upper edges and at the back of the collar on the jacket.

One with a bolt and nut. White overlaid vase has a clean break above the knop and has a chip to the glass. White overlaid goblet broken badly at knop and restuck. Has bruise to the foot rim. Tall slim vase with portrait has been broken above and below knop and has been broken badly at top of vase and restuck . Vase with portrait on brass two handle urn base - provably didn't start out like this as glass looks uneven where stuck to brass base. Other vase on brass base maybe a marriage, gilt rubbed very badly. Two other small pieces in ok condition. Gilt is rubbed in places on all pieces. .
