ENGLISH SCHOOL "Tall-masted ship at anchor in the moonlight", oil, unsigned, together with a print of jockeys on horses, and various other pictures CONDITION REPORTS Moonlilght oil of ship at anchor- size approx. 46 x 30 cm, frame with wear, scuffs, chips, some separating at joins, picture with some general wear and dirt, but overall appears in reasonable condition, passe partout to back of frame is torn and with losses. Print of jockeys is very stained, torn and with damage and losses. Other pictures with various wear, stains, foxing, dirt, scuffs, and some damage to frames. The head and shoulders portrait of a girl, and the portrait of a girl with basket are sepia watercolours (not prints).
Boris Lovet-Lorski (American, 1894-1973) - Portrait of a woman, mixed-media including pencil and crayon on paper, signed and dated 1968 lower left corner, framed and glazed, damaged, 40.5cm x 24cm Provenance: Purchased from Stephensons Auction, Philadelphia 2008. From a private collection. Significant water damage to bottom half of picture, clearly visible water mark. Rip 1.5" up from the bottom right hand corner, approx. 1.5" long. Creases in paper and signs of staining. No previous receipt available.

A miniature portrait of George IV in the style of Stobwasser, being a copy of the Thomas Lawrence 1822 original portrait. The roundel is inscribed 'George IV' in red to the back. Diameter 9.3cm. Ebonised and gilt brass frame. Condition Report: very nibbled around the edge, largest chip 2.5 x 2.5mm, some crackalure, quite dirty. Moderate condition, “George IV” written to back.
An apparently unrecorded silver portrait plaquette showing the bust of Charles I in profile looking left. He wears an historic armour with masks at the shoulder and breast and the Order of the Garter. Dot engraved lettering 'Carolvs Rex'. 20.8cm x 8cm. Oval 104gm. Provenance: With Douglas G. Liddell former director of Spink and Son and thence by decent.
John Bogle, an oval miniature on ivory within a gilt brass frame, of Isobella Carr, the Countess of Erroll from 1742-1808. She wears a white and blue coat, her grey hair swept up with a ribbon, and a band of pearls around her neck. Having been painted a number of times by Sir Joshua Reynolds as a young woman, this portrait depicts her in her later years. Signed and dated 1792. (See illustration) Condition Report: Framed, good condition, possibly slightly faded. Very good overall condition, just a little fading.
