COLLECTION OF AUTOGRAPHED AND OTHER PORTRAIT PRINTS, of Theatre, Stage and Music Stars circa 1940-60s, autographs include Andrews Sisters, Josephine del Mar, The Platters, Tex Ritter, George and Fay, Arthur Stott, Will Fyffe, Vera Clough, The Ray Ellington Quartet, Lex McLean, Jimmy Logan and Benny Furst etc., loose and in album. Provenance: Obtained by the late Mr.Andrew Chalmers, drummer, who played with several bands in the USA (including the Air Force band in the early 1950s), during which time he became friendly with the actor James Cagney (with whom he remained in contact for several years). On returning to this country he worked as a drummer with the resident bands at the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr, and The Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, playing with Harry Lauder, Lex McLean, Stanley Baxter, Moira Anderson, Kenneth McKellar and Andy Stewart amongst others, and also worked with band leader "Geraldo".
